Why we are building
We have outgrown the building we love
On a normal Friday the hall is full before the khutbah begins. Latecomers pray in the corridor, on the stairs, and when the weather allows, in the yard. Our madrassah runs classes in rooms that were never meant to be classrooms.
The new build answers that plainly: a prayer hall that holds the congregation we actually have, purpose-built classrooms for the children, a proper women’s section with its own entrance and facilities, step-free access throughout, and a community room that can host a janazah gathering or a wedding without either spilling into the prayer space.
This is sadaqah jariyah in its plainest form. Every person who prays in this building, for as long as it stands, will be praying in something you helped build.
